If you've been following my work for a while you'll know the influence Richie Hawtin and Ali Demirel’s audiovisual projects together have had on me.
When I first saw this video of Plastikman Live I was completely blown away by the design. It was the first time I saw beautifully designed minimal visuals that were realtime and synced to the audio - visuals that actually enhanced the music rather than fight or overpower it. That and listening to and watching D9 Transitions were life changing moments... these projects really resonated with me.
No cameras are allowed in FOLD but I've added Richie's process video below, you can catch a little of the visuals.
